Paper on the physiological costs of undocumented human migration across the southern U.S. border published in Science!
Our paper on the physiological costs of undocumented human migration across the southern U.S. border was published today in Science. Long Lab graduate students Hallie Walker and Savannah Rogers were co-lead authors of the study along with our friend and colleague Shane Campbell-Staton. The paper represents a novel and impactful application of our thermal energetics research to humans, and is one of the most integrative, interdisciplinary projects we’ve worked on. Check out the paper here.
